This place is soo unorganized. Packages everywhere, no employees, got here at 10am to pick up a package and no one was working the windows. Finally someone comes at 10:12 and says they are not open yet when the sign clearly says opens at 10am! Big fail on the usps

So about 3 years ago construction next door blocked view (not access) to my apartment building. We had a few hiccups but mail delivery was otherwise normal for 2 1/2 years. About 6 months ago a new mail carrier for my route has now refused to even attempt to deliver mail after months of failing to do so. He claims the "front gate" to the building is locked and impassable and demands we build a box outside the "fence"; never mind the tiny gate he refers to has NEVER been used for mail delivery for over 25 years. Or the fact it is literally just a single small door sandwiched between the business next door and a wall from the city blocking a power substation with literally no room for said mailbox.Nevermind the fact we have provided several alternate routes, either passing through a nearby business, simply parking in the alley behind us witch has open access, or you know just WALKING AROUND THE CONSTRUCTION SITE! since it's not actually blocking off access to the building. No all I get are a mail carrier who can't figure out the concept that a door that has been unused for 3 decades isn't the 'front door' and supervisors who rush to explain to me how I'm in the wrong for complaining to much.Or robotically claim that they don't deliver through alleys(CT) despite the fact there is a house less than 10 feet from us that can only be reached through said alley. Or conveniently ignore the fact that the mail carrier's story seems to get worse whenever I try to file a complaint.

This post office and its mail carriers ( not all I must say) are the most unprofessional, incompetent, belligerent, uncaring, self righteous bunch of federal workers congregated to insult, offend and not serve the public I have ever seen. Their job seems to be a burden they do not want to be bothered with. Package and mail delivery to my complex is the worst when it is left to substitute carriers. The regular delivery person is standoffish and displays a demeanor that discourages interaction. Knowing they have a jog to do and have a time frame to do it in, their attitude still can use much adjustment. There is no excuse for packages to be left on the floor unsecured when secured boxes are available for the carrier to place them in. Those few that will not fit, are to be or should be brought up on the elevator and delivered to the recipients door or a slip left and package taken back to P.O. something other than fed to or given to the public and or anyone other than who it was addressed to. Administrative support for filing the complaints are worse. They have no live person to speak to. No return of calls when you leave a message. When you go in to speak to someone. It takes 20 minutes to find a person to talk to, then that person is the wrong person so another 20 minutes of waiting for another...and so on and so on. The so common governmental bureaucratical red tape.

This place is truly right out of a bad movie. You walk in and feel like you are on a hidden camera show. It's almost unbelievable to think that a place can run so poorly. Expect to see a line anywhere from 5 to 25 people long. Many appear to be there just to get inside and out of the sun. There are a lot of windows, but generally only 2 are manned. If you ask for a manager you can expect very little assistance, but you do get extended waiting periods as the management disappears into the back for long periods of time with no explanation. I know this because i have had several packages get traced as far as this post office only to have the tracking mysteriously stop. Packages are just gone. They may come back a month or two later, but by then they normally prove to be crushed beyond recognition. Management does not appear to care. No one takes responsibility. ON A POSITIVE SIDE: if you like architecture, this place is pretty cool looking. Nice curb appeal as long as no one is sprawled out / passed out on the stairs.

Notices are left in my post office box stating that I have packages. No one can ever find them. I returned to the post office each day and still no packages. They finally found it 2 weeks later and this is no small package by the way. The Postmaster really needs to investigate this location. This happens to me a lot. This is just the first time Im writing a review. There are some nice workers here but whoever handles the packages certainly leaves a lot to be desired.
