Very clean and organized. Employees are ok. Some have great customer service skills and others are aloof or just bad at it (customer service). I've mostly been helped by the aloof millennial employees. They mean well. They apparently don't know better or don't care to do better. I always leave with what I came for... That's what's important.
This market is known for it's quality fresh meats. Some of the groceries are lower in price than others. These produce is OK, but "you get what you pay for." A good selection of wines with discount if you buy 4 or more. A very good deli & bakery.

I shop here because their meat department is by far the best in the city. The produce is not as good as sprouts but its not bad. I recommend coming in the morning if you can. Not crowded at all.
5 STARS - Specifically for their cake department. I don't even like cake, but the birthday cakes we buy at Stater Brothers (on Spring St. in LB) are the BEST. It has kind of become a family tradition - we have ordered quite a few of them over the last three years, and they have all been GREAT! Not at all dry (without being wet), and just the right proportions of cake, filling, and frosting. Also, the chocolate really tastes like chocolate (instead of just colored sugar or something), and the other fillings we have tried have all been awesome. The people that take your order are really helpful, and they do a GREAT job of decorating them. Finally, although perhaps less important, the prices are VERY FAIR. As far as I am concerned, these are the best cakes around. Like I said at the beginning - I never even really liked cake at all until I tried the cake at Stater Brothers. Thanks!
