Mimi's usually has great breakfast but today our coffee had something floating in it that resembled food and 1/2 of my items were burnt or dry. I know that it can't always be a perfect meal, but to start the day I would love if it could at least be caught before it is served.
I took a friend to lunch, using an email coupon. What a surprise. The restaurant was cheerfully and cleverly decorated, clean, filled with happy customers and the food and service were great. True, it would normally be a little pricey (compared to a coffee shop), but the experience was positive enough I would definitely return, coupon or no. I salute the serviceman who started this chain.
Haven't been to Mimi's in years.....cant believe how awful it was. The onion soup was not up to par and did not taste freshly made. My grilled and which had a piece of old lettuce on it and was very underwhelming. How do you mess up a simple soup and sandwich meal ?
This is a nice venue. The layout of the restaurant makes it nice and open. The seating areas were comfortably sized and clean. No sticky tables, chairs or carpet, just nice. I went during breakfast on a Wednesday morning with a group of about 10 people, the restaurant was mostly empty and the server was attentive and quick. The food was great, very tasty and well prepared. The portions were a good size, enough to have some left over if you eat moderately. The price was decent, not super expensive, but not super cheap either. I highly recommend it, you should enjoy your visit here.
We were there for a medically related seminar. During the presentation. We were totally ignored. We were never asked if we wanted a drink and were given water in a dirty pitcher. I have had better meals in a Vietnam mess tent. The waitress didn't care what we said and the mgr in charge seemed to ditto her sentiments. The place was fairly clean and the restrooms were adequate. I have been to many Mimis and have been fairly treated, but not here. So our mini-meal consisted of six overcooked broccoli tips and two small under the grilled chicken breast. The management of this facility needs to completely go back to basics and retrain its staff.
