  I came here about five years ago with a broken yingyang bracelet for a girlfriend, Co was still the owner, he explained to me how the pearl n blackonyx would burn up in the repair process n that it was gonna cost me, at the time I didn't care cuz it was for girl n he understood why, it wasnt too expensive either and they fix it quickly, I talked to co n his wife a bit..they're honest people, a rare commodity in downtown longbeach..if I were in the market for jewelry, I'd B sure to come here as I priced other places, even if I don't buy from them, at least I got good customer serviceI'm in Colorado now but I'm visiting in next month n wanna get something for a different girlfriend for Christmas, I fly in longbeach airport, beach jewelry will be the second place I goto as soon as I get off the plane, the first being a donut shop for a ham n cheese croissant :P

  I had an engagement ring custom designed by my fianc from a different company. I wanted to use Beach Jewelry's service to get my ring resized.Initially I was greeted wonderfully. The woman working there was really lovely and accommodating to me. I told her my ring was rose gold, with a moonstone center and diamonds around. She informed me however that the diamonds were in fact CZ which neither myself or my fianc knew. Then she told me that the ring is silver plated in rose gold. she explained to me that resizing it by cutting the ring down could compromise the shape of the ring. She suggested that I could get an insert soldered onto the ring instead. Which I agreed to.I had my fianc pick my ring up on Monday afternoon. The ring came back as completely silver. Which obviously is not what the ring went in as. My fianc questioned the man at the store and he said that he had explained to me that the plating would come off. Which he never did. His wife didnt explain that that the plating would come off either. I called the store to question what happened. They explained that during the soldering, the plating came off. Understandable but I asked Why they didnt replate it. They dont have the equiptment. THEN they said that they didnt know thats what would happen. How could we tell if its rose gold plated. We didnt know. We cant tell so I explained to him that his wife had clearly told me that its silver with rose gold plating on Saturday. she even explained how she could tell they it was silver. So I asked them why a phone call wasnt made to inform me, IF they didnt know. They said its because they told me when I dropped the ring off. They implied that I lied to them about the materials it was made of.They kept blaming me for the result. That I had lied to them. Then they suggested that I have my fianc buy me another ring instead and also to go to a nail shop if I want a rose gold color. Admittedly I was getting angry as well so I asked for my money back since it wasnt returned to me in its original colour. I had to call them back several times because they kept hanging up on me. I was severely upset about this rudeness. My ring was custom designed by my fianc and my step daughter and it has sentimental value. The people here made me feel like such garbage. My fianc called Kay jewelers, to ask about the situation. They told him that in a situation like this, they would inform the clients that when resizing, and soldering, the plating would come off, but would always return the ring in the condition it came in by replating it with rose gold. I also got this confirmation at a different jewelry store I went to in order to get it replated in rose gold. Their customer service was honestly terrible and Im so shocked at how they treated me. They kept talking over me and trying to defend their actions. There was no apology for any misunderstandings or anything and just kept hanging up and soon after they stopped answering their phone. I really hope that no one else has to have a similar experience with them. Im sorely disappointed. The way they blatantly treated me the way that they did, and the nonchalant air they had to suggest to just get another ring instead and implying that my fianc got me a faulty ring. I had to pay $40 to get it replated in rose gold. Luckily, THAT jeweler was really absolutely helpful and validated that I was given a really terrible customer service, and this should have been handled better by them.

  This is a family business. Co and Tina are the very knowledgeable, friendly and helpul owners. They fixed 2 clasps for us and we bought a beautiful new chain and pendant. But they have a nice selection of diamond rings in yellow and white gold.

  I love this place and the owners. They are very warm and approachable people. They took care of my wedding ring and did a great job.
