Been shopping here since the 1960's when they were located a couple doors down. Wing Tips as a kid, then J C's, and Wallabees as a teen. They still carry quality shoes, and the best part is..It's still owned and operated by the same original family.
Great selection of fashionable and comfort footwear. Even with some higher prices you get what you pay for! Spend a chunk today and have a pair of shoes that will last you years! Also a good number of the brands they sell do resoling so when the shoe wears down you can send it in for a new sole! Staff is also quite knowledgable in foot issues and sollutions!
Amazing place if you are looking for nice shoes . Very helpful staff ( no wonder they are celebrating 60 years in business) . Andrew was very knowledgeable and I got a pair of beautiful French for ever shoes on sale for under $70.00.
I went there to have some Birkenstocks resoled, and they came back worse than when I left them. The leather was melted around the buckle and I didn't notice right away since the glue was still wet as if they just completed them (the day after they said they would be ready). When I went back to ask them about it they told me first that they were fine when I picked them up, then they were like that when I dropped them off. They were NOT like that when I dropped them off. In addition, the glue was stuck to the cork in globs, and they said that was because the cork was falling apart and the shoes were on their last leg. I know the cork was falling apart, I showed them that when I brought them in! I asked for a resole, and apparently I should have asked for a recork. Would have been nice if they would have told me that when I showed the the problem. The glue job looks like amateur quality and I paid $45 for it! No offer to refend my money either. They did roll the leather to smooth it and remove some of the glue globs, but now they are so much worse then before I can only wear them as camping shoes. I have only purchased one pair of shoes many years ago so I cannot review the current sales service, but DO NOT TAKE YOUR BIRKENSTOCKS FOR REPAIR HERE.
This store should not be doing business online.I placed an order on September 26. By November 13, and it was NEVER SHIPPED, even after multiple promises for shipping, and not one apology for the 7 WEEK delay. If they did not have an item in stock, there should have been a note on the item's page on the site to indicate an approximate availability date. I'm not sure that I would have ordered to begin with, if I had known that they didn't actually have the item in stock. After ordering (and providing my credit card info), the transaction appeared to be like any normal website, like Zappos, etc. Then I received an email indicating that the item would not be available until 10/15.After 10/15, I followed up a few times, and after each inquiry, I was told that "the item will ship within 72 hours" or "by Monday," etc. etc. Nothing ever shipped.I can't believe that this business would actually LIE to customers, telling people that their order will ship on certain dates, for weeks on end, as if that can pass as customer service. Never was there even an apology for the delay. I'm disappointed in this experience to say the least.
